Hello!
No, you aren't experiencing deja vu right now! I'm back for a second installment of the Flip Flop Product Swap Linky party hosted by Confessions of a Teaching Junkie!
This time I have joined up with sweet Deb from Fabulously First!
Once Deb and I decided to join up...I went searching through her store and WOWZA! There's a TON of stuff to choose from! If you have never checked her out, put it on your to-do list right now!
After taking my time searching through all of her fabulous products, I eventually decided on her Bossy R Roundup!
Deb's Bossy R Roundup pack is all about providing students with fun, different ways to practice those tricky r-controlled vowels!
The pack is 36 pages total and consists of 4 different activities! I'm going to show you some previews of each activity. Please note that I did not include ALL of the pages in these activity previews! I just wanted you to get an idea of what wonderful activities are included in this awesome resource!
Activity 1:
This activity is to get students up and moving while working on those "bossy r" words! You place the word cards around the classroom and students will go around to read them and then write them on the recording sheet that's included! I know my firsties LOVE to do these types of activities!
Activity 2:
Next up is a fun word scramble to get those kiddos thinking! Each card is numbered and the students are provided with a "word bank" to reference. There is a recording sheet included for this activity as well. How fun!
Activity 3:
This activity is always a classroom favorite! Who doesn't love a good ole "I Have, Who Has?" game?!? Well, you're in luck because Deb has included one in this pack! It clearly states the first card and last card and focuses solely on words with r-controlled vowels! You can play this multiple times because the students will get different cards and will be required to read those cards each time they play!
Activity 4:
I love all of the activities in this pack but this one has to be my favorite! This one has a game board and an adorable dice template to make your own game dice. It also has adorable cowboy and cowgirl character game pieces along with word cards! This game reinforces reading the word cards correctly before they can roll and move a piece on the game board! I can't wait to use this with my kiddos because I know they will love it!
All in all, this is a wonderful resource to have in your classroom! I highly suggest you head on over and check it out as well as all of the other fabulous products Deb has to offer! Don't forget to head on over to her blog and check that out as well!
Deb decided to review my Down in the Deep Blue Sea Math Centers! I hope you will head over to her blog and check out her review!
I will do an updated review once I have had a chance to use this with my class so that you can see the activities in action!
Thanks for stopping by today! :) Happy Wednesday!
Thanks for linking up (twice!)
