About Me

Hello!

I am beyond excited that you have stopped by my blog!

Since you're here, let me introduce myself!

My name is Daina (pronounced Day-nuh) Roberts! I have an amazing daughter named Arielle and a wonderful hubby named Mark!

We <3 self-taken photos!

Arielle will be 3 years old in July. I just can't believe it! I don't know WHERE the time has gone! It has been such a joy seeing her grow and change these last couple of years! I can't wait to see what else is in store for us! :) And yes, I am obsessed with all things Disney...with The Little Mermaid being my favorite of all time which was my inspiration in choosing Arielle's name!

Mark and I on our wedding day!

Mark and I got married on April 10th, 2009. That means our 4 year anniversary is fast-approaching! Another situation where I don't know where the time has gone! We met as performers at Universal Studios during the Macy's Holiday Parade in December 2007. We were both performing in the parade and instantly connected. It has been a whirlwind ever since!

Now, about my teaching experience! Teaching is definitely one of my passions! I am originally from the great state of TEXAS.. born and raised! I moved to Florida in July 2003 with my family and finished up high school. I then attended the University of Central Florida from 2004-2008 where I graduated with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. I ended up accepting a teaching position in Georgia where I taught Pre-K for a year before returning to Florida. Upon my return to Florida, I got hired into a 3rd grade position where I worked with students of all levels from all of the 3rd grade classrooms. The next year I was re-hired to teach 3rd grade, but this time in my own classroom! After my year in 3rd grade, I was moved down to 1st grade where I have been for the last 2 years now. There are things I love about both grades but I really do love being with the little ones! The things they come up with both amaze me AND keep me laughing! This school year I was asked to be the ESE inclusion room so I am very lucky to have an ESE teacher come in with me twice a day to provide extra instruction, guidance, and support to the ESE sweeties I have in my room! I am also honored and blessed to say that I was chosen as Rookie Teacher of the Year at my school this year! It is such an honor and such a wonderful feeling knowing that the people you work with support your hard work!

I hope that gives you a little insight as to who I am! I look forward to meeting new people and learning new things!
