Five for Friday!



Hey there friends! Happy Friday! I'm linking up Doodle Bugs Teaching once again for her Five for Friday linky!
 
Alright, here goes:
 
1. Wednesday was my 4 year anniversary with my hubby! He surprised me with this adorable cookie bouquet! Yummmy!
 
 


2. I found these AWESOME fly swatters at Wal-Mart for only $1 each! What a score! I have a game in mind that I want to make to go with them.... so I will post on that as soon as I create it!
 



3. I was at Target getting some cardstock and I turned around and saw this new Scotch tape dispenser! I already have the BLACK high-heel shoe one... but now there's THIS new one! AHHHH! I'm going to have to go back and get it so I can have both of them...geeze, I have a problem LOL!
 


 
4. This week at school, we have been doing our new reading textbook adoption. I have no words for how painful of a process this has been this week! If any of you have a reading series that you think is aligned well with CCSS.. I would love for you to leave me a comment and let me know what it is!
 
 
5. As the last couple of weeks have gone by and all of the end of year activities are approaching, I'm realizing how much I am going to miss my class! I mean, I have loved them ALL year long and always knew I would miss them.. but I guess it's sinking in that my time left with them is so limited and they are SUCH a wonderful group! I am certainly not looking forward to the last day of school. I am horrible at holding in my emotions with things like that. Ugh.

    I LOVE that tape dispenser!! How awesome is that!! I know how you feel about the end of the school year. We work so hard with our kiddos...I have the same difficulty saying goodbye at the end of the year. I'm so glad you left me a comment on my blog so I could find your cute blog!       Isn't that tape dispenser adorable?!? Ahhh, I just love it!! We work so hard with them.. they really are OUR kids! Thanks so much for checking out my blog and following! :)

    I am so glad to hear that someone else is getting emotional over their class getting ready to fly too! I keep getting choked up over it this year and people act like I am crazy! Good to know that someone else is in the same boat. I hate textbook adoptions!

    I am pretty sure we aren't doing them anymore. Texas decided last year to give the money to schools to use for either books or technology and we have gone technology all the way. Huge relief!

    I know I have said it before, but I love your blog - the glitter makes me smile.

      Oh my goodness! I have had people look at me like I'm crazy too! I don't understand how they AREN'T upset! Last year I wasn't as upset as I had a really rough class... but this year they are SO WONDERFUL! *Tear*

      Textbook adoptions... ugh! You are so lucky! Yet another reason why I need to move back to TX! I miss it so much!

      Girllll, I bought that shoe tonight at Target LOL!!!! I told you I was going to get it! I am going to miss YOUR class too Tamara! We both were SO blessed this year!!!

    Congrats on 4 years!! The cookies look very yummy.

    I can't wait to make my next trip to Wal-Mart to see if we have the fly swatters in my store. I especially love the leopard and zebra ones! I can think of all the fun kids would have with "spot it" games using them. Can't wait to see what your game is!

      Yes, head to Walmart ASAP! I am working on the game RIGHT now! I am sooo excited about it and to have my kids play! I think it will be a real hoot! I will post about it as soon as my kiddos "test drive" it for me! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving some love! :)

      Hi Kelly! I went and bought that blue dispenser this evening LOL! I just had to have it! Luckily my husband didn't give me any grief about it LOL!

    4 years...congrats!! Time just seems to fly by. This year will mark for 10 for me and 17 years that we have been together. It just reminds me how old I am getting :) And cookies...oh...so jealous.
